Biraj Samaj has appointed Ashish Dahal, a young social worker living in the United States, as the Foreign Office Coordinator of the Biraj Sahayog Fund.
Constituent Assembly member Ram Hari Khatiwada, who is also a life member of the society, handed over the certificate of foreign department coordinator of the Biraj Sahayog Kosh to Ashish Dahal at a function organized by the Biraj Samaj in the capital recently. At the same time, Khatiwada informed that the expansion of this fund would also be supported by him.
Advocate Keshav Dahal, Legal Adviser of the society, said that the purpose of the fund was to provide assistance to the destitute and those affected by various natural calamities. .
Counselors of the Society Mukunda Raj Dahal, Binod Dahal and the outgoing chairman Dinesh Kumar Magar stressed on the need for everyone to take initiative from their own place in the expansion of the fund. Ashish Dahal, External Affairs Coordinator of Biraj Sahayog Kosh, said that the fund could be expanded through necessary coordination to mobilize small support from Nepalis living at home and abroad annually to fulfill the objective of the fund.
Chairman of the society Ram Prasad Dahal highly appreciated the contribution made by Ashish Dahal to the Biraj Samaj in the past and thanked him for the decision of the working committee meeting held on January 10. If the dignitary is willing to contribute to the fund, he / she may spend Rs. Nara Bahadur Katawal, treasurer of the Biraj Samaj, said that one can voluntarily deposit five thousand rupees and one hundred dollars annually if one is living abroad.
Secretary of the society Rajendra Prasad Dahal, poet Manojaditya Neupane, Jay Prasad Dahal, Narayan Sapkota, Karuna Lama, Sita Dahal and others were present in the program.
Meanwhile, Ashish Dahal and Jalpana Dahal, External Affairs Coordinator of Biraj Sahayog Kosh, donated Rs. 51,000 financial assistance has been provided. Out of the amount provided by Dahal, the society contributed Rs. Pranavananda Ashram was provided to Nepal by purchasing food worth Rs 20,000. Ashish Dahal, Foreign Affairs Coordinator of Biraj Sahayog-Kosh, has left for the United States on Saturday, January 3, after completing various programs and meetings in Nepal.
